The title says it all. When I was watching the trailer for this movie, I came to a remarkable conclusion: there are some movies that are so bad, so cheesy, so worthless, that you have to see them. "Hobgoblins", in my opinion, looks like one of these movies.Released in 1988, the movie revolves around a group of hobgoblins, who allow you to live out your fantasies but kill you in the process, escape from a studio vault and reek havoc on a small town. Essentially, it features unnecessary gore, sex, violence, and terrible acting. Accoring to the Internet Movie Data Base (IMDB), "Hobgoblins" is the 25th worst movie of all time (just one sport in front of "The Pod People").
Every now and then, a film like "Hobgoblins" comes around, and manages to catch your attention for all the wrong reasons. Because it looks so dreadfully awful, because the plot is so outrageous, and because the acting is so pathetic, it's a movie you simply have to see.
